It may help if you can tell us what it is, or what it is a dependancy of. 
I have a timeframe of its creation: Asset kuid:60002:10043 was posted 3/26/11, and Asset kuid:60002:10046 was posted 4/9/11. 10044 and 10045 are not on the DLS. Possibilities:
1) scottyw forgot to put them on the DLS.
2) scottyw has them on a third-party site.
3) The DLS rejected the asset.
4) The assets never existed to begin with (dependent asset config error).

kuid:60002:100043 is: Boston & Maine NW-2 #1201 in original as delivered paint scheme. Original NW-2 body, trucks and coupler found on DLS with reskin, dependency corrections and upgrade to build 2.9 by ScottyW.
So I am presuming that kuid:60002:100044 is one of his dependencies for one of his loco's ?
If the config file says it is a hornsound or enginesound, editing the config file to another hornsound or enginesound is an alternative to get the loco working.

Look alike missing from NH Alco HH600 from TPR. It's said "NOTE:hornsound is hard to find" http://trainzproroutes.org/tprdownloads/index.php?act=view&id=2233
