Happy "Just One More Year Shot To Hell as Usual!"

Uh-oh leksie. I am Scottish so don't live in England! No problem as a lot of people from elsewhere use "England" when it should be Britain (:D). It is okay as I am not put out as I am proud to be British as well as proud to be Scots! Glad you enjoy coming over and to England so good for you. And I am definitely coming over to your country for a long delayed 3rd trip and my tram and train experiences in your country were a delight and enjoyable. Yep, my family have a long history of never giving in and I walked altogether a hundred miles when I built the former Glasgow Tramway system (lost weight too). When I do come over in the summer I am hoping that I will not need to bring my new challenging hiking boots as the weather will be delightful as it was at Het Loo!!

We visited Scotland to , Log Lomond , Newcastle and did a lot of walks in Scotland .
When you are interested , Arnhem in the Netherlands has still a trollybus system , National Liberation Museum and Burgers Zoo .

Great to hear leksie that you visited the north of the kingdom up here too! One of the top ten railway trips is in Scotland and namely the West Highland Railway to Fort William (and branch up to Mallaig. The thing I forgot to do when in Amsterdam was the tram museum so will not do that twice and make sure the next time I am in the city! Think I got too caught up with my runabout tickets for tram/bus althought it was the trams I ran on mostly. Glasgow when I was a boy had trolley buses and was only on them once to try them. At the time people called them the "silent death" but no doubt they were jaywalkers who were regulars of the times.

Hope to be heading over to Northern Ireland for a few days later this month and a day trip across the border to Dublin as part of my present rail build and a much needed break. My next Dutch trip will be preferable in the summer although my first of two previous trips was in the winter which was much the same as here. What made me smile on my first sojourn over there was a cafe round from my hotel which had a British style menu advertised in the window, Prince Henry I think it was called.

The only traintrip we made was from Skipton to Carlisle years ago and the little train into the black Mountains in Wales.
Also a trip in Ireland from Dublin too , i don't know it anymore with the Arrow comp.

About Amsterdam , there's a shop with only english food , we always use salad cream from Heinz and buy it there.
About your Henry café , We have lot's of pubs in Holland , specially irish.
We are also english antique lovers so our house looks very english from the inside.
