Happy Father's Day to all in Australia!

You are early Ed - it's still Saturday down on the bottom bit! But as a father x2 and a grandfather x1 my thanks for the sentiment! :)

I gotta admit this Holiday went over my head!:o When Auran sent me e-mails about Fathers Day, I thought somebody got their dates mixed up, Fathers day is in June! Silly me:confused:, for thinking that the US is the only natinon that celebrates Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day Gentlemen!

John

We celebrate Father's Day in September to help fill the slow consumer spending period between Mother's Day (in May) and Christmas. :hehe:
Thanks for the kind thoughts - out of 6 children only 1 left at home. He is 19 and will probably still be here when he's 29. Subsidised living is hard for him to give up!. Despite the encouragement he gets....

Cheers

I know what you mean, I got some one now who doesn't get the subtle hints. Good thing I got the Trainz!

Yes, but I keep messing up by posting birthday greetings too late, so I thought I would post this one early! I haven't seen my children since March, and they did not take the time to send me a card or call. I guess two fathers is one too many!:(

Hi Ed,

Have had a fantastic day with all my family and friends,
had lunch at our "local pub" (and a few refreshments) and it was great.
And a very nice Fathersday was had.

I appreciated your "late" birthday greeting, and feel for your family contact loss.

Cheers,

Bill.

Father's Day in Australia occurs around the start of spring. So that means all the ads focus on Dad getting tools or other stuff he can use to do all the jobs around the house he promised but didn't do last year. :hehe:

Mothers Day, however, focuses on gifts for her.

Not that I'm complaining. I got a phone from one daughter this morning and will get another tonight from the other who is in London. At my age, gifts become less important than phone calls.

The best ever Father's Day present I got was a phone from my daughters doing their "gap year thing" in Europe some years back from a phone box on a border crossing somewhere.

I didn't know you were a Grandfather Andy, I still thought you were in your 20's.......:hehe:
