Half speed problem

I know this Half speed bit has been brought up before, but all the other threads on the subject don't seem to fit into what i am having a problem with.

I am running Marias Pass X on trs12 with the latest build before the sp1 patch (can't remember the number). I am running sort of a realistic traffic schedule based on one of my sheets from the old train dispatcher game. Everything is going great as far as getting the traffic to come on and off the route on a day to day basis (i am on day 3 now) but it seems that only the intermodals run at half speed while everything else runs perfectly. I would asume this is a rolling stock issue as opposed to a signal/speed sign issue because all the other trains run perfectly.

I am using pretty much all JR wells and some SOCAL spine cars on the intermodals. I just don't get why these trains run at half speed and everything else runs fine. I have been just dealing with it but it becomes a traffic jam after while.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks in advance
Bill

For the Marias Pass route you should use the Driver Speed Rule and be careful to keep note of the different speed limits in the dual speed limit signs. (P for passenger, F for freight).

Thats what i am using....all freight is standard and there are only two passanger drivers..but still only the intermodals go half speed

Speed and signal management, as well as AI use of signals, information is scattered about. A proper treatment of these items would certainly assist almost everyone. The program is complex and thus the customer scenarios/sessions can encounter odd situations in a variety of ways, as we see here. This is one of those things where a Wiki entry might improve the enjoyment of paying customers.

Well i found the what the problem seems to have been. Replaced the AC44s with Dash9s and everything seems to be working smooth now. Don't know why that would have been an issues though.

My first ride on a loco was when I was about 5 years old. It was an NYC tank 0-404 that switched my Dad's coal and building supply company.
