GTA IV Subway Route

Not sure if I'd use a GTA4 route in Trainz, as subway cars are not my thing, but I can see the fascination of having one.

GTA4 is a great game (superb graphic engine).
As for someone mentioning the San Andreas GTA, in my opinion, having played them all, it was the worst of the lot, and still is.
It was like all the bad Spike Lee movies rolled into one very poor game.

My favourite before GTA4 was easily Vice City.

And it's good to see that the original poster has good parents.
Too many parents seem to gloat about getting their kids these 18 certificate games, rather than acting like parents.

Smiley.

GTA Liberty City Stories has a subway train between all three islands and a elevated train (El Train) in the island of Portland.

I'll admit it.

I love GTA, so much that I have most of the games that ever came out, GTA 2, GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas (my favorite game but needs GTA IV graphics and game engine), Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, GTA IV and the 2 episodes and I'm only 13.

Besides a GTA subway or GTA route for that matter would be a great idea. I think I said this before, I can't remember.

Outside the train simming genre, the GTA's are probably my favourite games. I just finished a replay of SA managing just over 90% completion. The "gangsta" ghetto settings may grate initially but the story is actually a rite de passage, for the main character. Probably one of the best games ever created. GTA IV and the spin off Liberty City Stories have a different feel about them. I do think Rockstar missed an opportunity, having introduced the albeit simplified train driving missions in SA, not to have included subway driving missions in either IV or the spin off.

Would be nice to see a version of the GTA subway in Trainz though not sure whether it might run into any copyright issues as I'm sure Rockstar protect their brand fairly vigourously.

Yeah GTA really is a pathetically trashy game. It's not a game, it's just mindless gang violence exploitation and rape...the hell kinda' game is that!? Honestly, games these days...:n:

It's not just mindless killing and rape, it's also packed full of satire and witticisms.

GTA is more of a satire of killing and rape games than an actual killing and rape game. I mean, yeah, there's killing, and I suppose if you really want there to be, there can be rape (I certainly avoid that part of the game), but the game doesn't take itself seriously.

GTA is essentially the video game equivalent of Robocop.

It's fuuuuuuun kind of game. I'm sure there are idiots who are too easily influenced by games, but for most of us, it's just deliciously evil. A game where you can do anything... except drive the trains, which aren't modelled too good any ways.

I can tell you right now what elevated station are bases off in real life:

Bohan:
San Quentin Avenue (Based off Freeman Street on the 2, 5)
Windmill Avenue (Based off Freeman Street on the 2, 5)
Algonquin:
Frankfort Upper (Based off 125th Street on the 1)
All other stations in Algonquin are underground and look the same.
Broker:
Hove Beach (A cross between West 8th Street and Coney Island on the Q, F)
Schottler (Based off 33rd Street on the 7)
Dukes:
Huntington Street (Based loosely off Livonia Avenue on the L cept the upper level where the 3 would be has a platform.)
Lynch Street (Based off Forest Hill on the LIRR)
Frances Int'l Airport (Based off the AIRTRAIN at JFK)

A GTA subway route would be very, very hard to create as this requires thousands if not millions of assets , like much of the buildings , but as with subway you would need to play the game to follow much of the route , and building Francis international would be crazy :D

but, ill look into anyone who would make a replica of the route
