Group Membership?

Hi All,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, so if not, someone will correct me I hope.:hehe:

In the view member profile section (clicking on a user name for instance) of this forum there's a section called "Group memberships". What is that?
Does it imply there are groups one can become a member of, allthough it not states where to find them. And does this imply too that one can create such a group for for instance a bunch of people wanting to contribute to a mutual project?
Or, is it something that's available by this forum software, but never was implied?
An inquiring mind wants to know...

Bear in mind this forum is using a commercial off-the-shelf forum software solution (called vBulletin).

Groups are a feature of that software (as you can see here: http://www.vbulletin.com/index.php?do=features ), but Auran doesn't appear to have used them in any way for normal users - Admins and moderators probably have their own groups which grants them access to the forums we can't access.

Oh well. I just had to ask. :hehe:
I thought it could be an interesting feature to gather people who like to participate to the same project without the need of creating yet another seperate hosting provider account.
With all the talk about multiplayer and the fact that this probably will be a driver mode only feature, I thought this could be a nice surveyor mode cheap alternative.
