Try disabling overlays in the top menu, Dick.

In your driving session, click the monitor icon on the Display Menu, aka the monitor icon.
Click on Track Path Display.
The option you want is at the top: No display on focus train located at the top.
I ran into this a short time ago myself and spent a lot of time figuring out what I clicked on.
Since that time, I find it useful for testing sessions to ensure the drivers can get to various points I intended them to go to without going on a roundabout route.

I'm afraid I do not see what you see. I have looked at trs2022 original menu and new 2.0 menu. Also, 2019. None offer Track Path as an on/off option. The first option under Display Menu is to Show Interface. exploring various settings does not yield anything better.
FIXED - you have to have an active route to get the option. Just took a loook and lo-and-behold, with a route active the option appeared. Another wierd one.

It's another undocumented feature added, forcing us to look around for information.
