Great Train Robbery

I watched it once when I was younger but I did not follow it all that well. Now that I'm 16 I'm going to have to watch it again.

You have the coaches barn, but not the locomotive. I've bounced all through your site looking to buy it, but don't see anything that's perfect for that. It looks to be an outside frame 0-6-0 from the SER railway. The coaches are similar to others you have from the 1850's, but would just need reskinned. Lastly there's no luggage vans of that type.

Also, I just recently found a DEM I have of the harbor branch and the tracks out of dover. If I can figure out where the movie is supposed to be coming from, I might actually remake the route from that period.

Nah its the one where Phill Collins gives up drumming, leaves Genisis and holds up a train and then lets Ronnie Biggs get sent down in his place.

:D

@Paul - I didn't think you had many deisel locos, I'm pretty sure that Phill Collins held up a 'peak' class 45

I may be on about the wrong robbery too (there has certinly been alot of stuff knicked off the back of a truck). I suppose its the scheme of things first sweet shops then department stores then banks and finally you get sent down for robbing a train.

And a documentary on it was made last year using the ELR D335(in guise as D326) and a couple of MK1 coaches(closest thing to operation royal mail vans we have).

I just finished reading the book. I am amazed this actually has a movie and is coming up in topic after I finished it. Next thing you know a topic about Clive Cussler's " The Wrecker" and " The Chase."
