Graphics error- ultra major (Large Image)

This is what is happening, in driver and surveyor, with practically all objects and splines. If you look closely, you can see the cars to the left are travelling on green grass, they remove the road surface beneath them, and its happening on every route.

Is there some way to fix this?

Try switching between DirectX and OpenGL.

Also play with the anti-alias settings.

To do either, select Options on the Launcher instead of Start, and go to the Display Settings tab. This may help the look of the billboard trees and the thin-looking HUD text as well.

The reason this happens is because the cars are lined up perfectly flat and cut into the road because most roadway splines are in a slight, inverted 'V' shape.

Correct to try different graphics modes.
Wrong because AA only affects jagged lines. OP should look into increasing mipmap settings on the graphics card and bumping up TS12 sliders instead.
Also wrong because the car isn't digging into the road, it's the shadow plane under the car that is masking out the road surface, a problem that's been around since the move to "current gen" Jet engine which effectively screwed up objects with transparency.

Of course, I'm me. ;)

He's using TS2010, actually. It does have a small effect on transparency.

Now that's just being picky. The shadow is part of the car and is masking out the road surface, and it may dig into it slightly. (It does depend on the spline, though. The car's wheels are digging into this one as well, hence why I mentioned that instead of masking)

Let's see what results OP comes back with. In some cases even with settings maxed, some transparency problems just cannot be eliminated. Usually happens with very old assets such as the road and tree shown above.

I agree. I've still got some billboard trees showing oddly, and my settings are maxed out. It depends on which are used, though.

Good luck to Mr Bomberswarm.

Kieran.
