does anyone know if there is a grade warning sign for line side or do i just use a station sign and just place it next to the track

I did a quick google search to find the sign you are looking for as I had not heard from it.
The only sign I could find so quick is a grade sign in the Czech Republic:

Edit: Also found a US example:
Track_Grade_indicator_150-88.JPG

Bit confusing because apparently this is both 1:150 and 1:88 grade, which I wonder how that is possible at the same time.

If you can show me a sign / link of the sign you are looking for, me (or any other content creator) can give it a go, or maybe someone will jump up and yell "that's on the DLS, search for....".

Any good?

The lower image is similar to the old gradient posts used in the UK.

The values are OK. The arms show whether the gradient is climbing or falling. The post in your image will have been placed at the bottom of a dip with the track rising in each direction.

Magandy (kuid:68236 ) has made some posts with renameable climbing, level and falling arms. There are six which cover each possible combination.

You can find them on the DLS under Gradient post. Make sure the TRS2004 box is checked.
