Golden October sky made obsolete by a grass texture??

After installing some recent updates, I noticed that the much-loved sky "Golden October" <kuid:60349:21004> by CAB has been made obsolete by a grass groundtexture "Cab Lawn Dry Lite" <kuid2:60349:21004:1> also by CAB.

What sort of idiocy is this?

CAB is a well-seasoned creator, I can't believe he would do something as damaging as to change the KIND in an update. And how did it get past the DLS auto-checks?

No, the Black page DLS definitely shows the sky is <KUID:60349:21004>, not 60349:21024. I couldn't find anything corresponding to 60349:21024.

You're right that the groundtexture is built-in to TS2010 but since its kuid is <KUID2:60349:21004:1>, it is treated as an update of the Golden October sky..

So I think there is a genuine conflict Andy. Note I can't say what TS12 sees, as I only have TS2010, but I'm struggling to imagine how this SNAFU could be resolved.

I've seen this happen a couple of times recently, CMP sees to assign kuid numbers at random so one or two content creators have been caught out. The old method of take the next one above: was much better.

There are two assets on the black pages, one I searched called simply 'Golden October' and the one you found called 'Golden October CAB'. Different kuids. Now that's confusing ...

Certainly is confusing. I couldn't find Golden October <kuid:60349:21024> on the DLS, but it did show up in my CM as another built-in for TS2010. Unfortunately, it doesn't make GoldenOctober(CAB) <KUID:60349:21004> obsolete because its config has no obsolete-table at all!

So the conflict between Golden October(CAB) sky and the groundtexture, Cab Lawn Dry Lite, still stands. What a mess. Well, since I don't appear to have any local assets that use GoldenOctober(CAB) <KUID:60349:21004>, I think I will just delete the damned thing.
