Going round in Circles

I bought 2004 a few years ago,and found it enjoyable,then I moved on to 2006 I found this to be hard work,now have TC3 for 2 days no comment on this at the moment.I don't see that Trainz is for the novice,what is a CDP how is one to make sense of the rule book,and the CMP the novice like myself can make no sense of this at all.And most of you on this forum seem to be trying to fix problems,so tips for a novice where do we look and what help is available.

CDP = Content Dispatcher Pack, a type of file used by Auran and some (but not all) other content creators to distribute assets. A CDP file can contain one or more assets. TC uses CDP2 files - some concept, slightly different internal format.
