Glasgow has it's projected new line dropped by Scottish Executive

It was planned for some time to build a brand new railway line off an existing suburban one coming from Glasgow (Central) to Glasgow Airport. However now the powers that be in Edinbugh have pulled the plug on something that was scheduled to start soon. Boils down to the credit crunch of course

So half the world is trying to spend money on this kind of thing to stimulate the economy (USA, Australia, China) and the other half is cutting projects to balance the books (and probably lengthen the recession). Quite glad I live in the first group really...
