Miniatur Wunderland set new records
The longest model train of the world originates from the Miniatur Wunderland!

Funny things happened in June at the HSH Nordbank Arena in Hamburg. The lawn was not assaulted by soccer pros but by thousands of small carriages instead. The reason for this was an extraordinary effort to brake a world record. The Miniatur Wunderland intended to let the longest H0-scale model train of the world run 3 1/2 rounds around the field. And they succeeded! The 2,212 carriages even made a lot more rounds around the holy lawn and maybe an eternal record was set this day.

The event was accompanied by Galileo who produced an exiting 20 minute broadcast.

This report (although in German language) can be watched on the Pro Sieben website.

BTW: we also produced a small video. Watch "Heavy Load" here.

It sounds like it was only a temporary track around some sort of park - If so, does it really count?
