Georgetown-Tarrin Rocks Problem

Do you have a lot of room on your harddrive? (Free space)? I think the patch requires a bit of room to patch. I think the patch uses the c:/ drive by default.

If you do reinstall trainz. Copy your TS2009/local folder and all of it's contents to another location before you uninstall.

To rebuild/repair the database you need to open up CMP (content manager) and select the rebuild data base function. (this may take a few hours to do.)

Axe

I currently have 149GB left on the hard drive. I don't have the option that says rebuild database but I do have quick database repair and extended database repair.

I would try the extended database repair ( it will take some time depending on how much content you have installed) and then try to patch again.

With the serial key issue? thats an odd one. I would re-enter it,and also remove and re-type your username and pass word in Content manager and see if that helps.

Lets hope its a Database issue and all will sort itself from a extended repair :)

keep us posted and we shall rack our brains to assist you :)

Cheers

PS: Your welcome Axe, always happy to help another to get going on your route. My kids love it that much I got to run a session daily for them :)

Yeah sorry I meant Extended database repair. Sorry.

149gig free should be fine. :) I know that on my old PC I needed to free space up to patch Trainz. (I had two 80gig hhd's.) - I now have 2 terabytes ;)

Attempt No.2...

Ok, digging up my old thread here.

I have just installed Trainz back onto the computer (without using the disk because the disk drive is broke) and am now patching to 40040. Tomorrow morning I will patch to 41844.

I have one question: I copied my local folder to my thumb drive and want to get everything in that folder back into the local folder that was installed with the my lattest installation of Trainz. How do I do this?

Thanks

You did not say where you got 2009 from. If it was a regional supplier such as Just Trains in the UK you need build 40040 which can be obtained from their website. About a day or so after I installed it, the lastest build (41344 from my poor tired memory I think) downloaded automatically, and I installed it. Your build number suggests that you got it from a regional supplier.

I got it from a gaming shop in Sydney (EB Games if anyones curious) and I have now patched to 40040. I now need to install 40040-41844.

I didn't download it (Trainz) off the internet, I copied it from one computer hard drive to another using an external hard drive.
