I've started a new Japanese style layout. This one is called "Furuya", and it's a fictional heritage line winding up into the mountains.
It starts by the shore in Tsurunohama, circles through the mountains to the reservoir above the city, then crosses the pass and drops down into the town of Haruno. Almost all the track and much of the scenery items are by Kenichiro. Nozoming helped me with the names, but I probably got some wrong anyway.
Here's a local train leaving the station at Tsurunohama, heading for the mainline. On the upper level, a shinkansen is just arriving. Obviously a mini-shinkansen. The platform will only service 5 or 6 cars. I love those Kenichiro buildings.
Here's the local train gliding through the right-of-way through town. In the distance, the local lighthouse stands above the buildings.
Crossing the river, the dam in the background, and Kenichiro bridges as far as the eye can see.
As soon as I have all the towns roughed in, I'll start the main texturing then add some foliage. I hope to have it on the DLS before Christmas.
