Funny railroad pics

The broken coupling in post #4 looks like it hasn't been tested or inspected for some time & was waiting to break.It has the shinny metal fracture point of a recent break but also the rusted sections on both sides indication a previous crack in the casting in both side of the pin hole that has gone unnoticed.

I didn't realize that quoting a photo actually caused a 2nd copy of the photo to be stored, thereby wasting space. I thought it was more like a tag that caused the single photo to get inserted into the page when it was generated. Per your request, I have edited the message and deleted the quoted photo. Thanks for letting us know, as that's a non-obvious "feature."
