Freeware chessie system GP40-2 not working

I downloaded the freeware chessie system (GM50)GP40-2 off your site and it would show up in content manager but not in game. I have no missing dependencies.

Check and see if something is showing faulty with a red ! mark somewhere in content manager. Seems to me this is the likely cause...

Which version is this locomotive designed to work for? Can it be adapted for 2006, or do I need to upgrade?

All JR assets are for 2009 and above.

So therein lies the problem. I shall upgrade. Does all the content work for 2009-2012? Another question, is everything backwards compatible? from 2012 to 2009? In other words, if I buy 12, can I use stuff that was designed for 09 or does it depend? I'm guessing that everything from this builder (Which is actually some of the nicest stuff I've seen.) is usable in 12? Am I correct?

All my JR assets are build 2.9, so will work 2009-2012 (I have 10+12 only).
Before you rush out and get 2012 make sure your comp will run it, what will run 2006 will not run 2012.

It really depends with TS12. With 12 you dont have compatability mode like you did in 2010 either BUT the majority of our newer content is for TS12 and is optimized for TS12. Our newest route releases are strictly 12 and this isnt going to change going forward at this point. The majority of our content otherwise is 2009 SP4 thru 12 at the moment but you should be able to use some assets from 2009 in 2012.

If it were me i would go right to 12 if your computer can handle it..

Upgrade time!!!

Either way when you DO get 2009, dont do anything else until you patch it to Service Pack 4. This way you will be able to use all of our content ( minus the routes that are only for TS12).

What PC specs does 09 have ? Anything less than 10/12 ?

I have had much luck backdating 09/10/12 assets to work in TRS2006, altough TRS2006 does not have the superior graphics that of 09/10/12
