Ca Plane Pour Moi
Hi all

I have been making a video of one of my routes, the video records fine, and when I play it on windows media player it plays of resonably good quality. But when I import it to windows mover maker and put it in the timeline, the video quality suddenly gets worse. Why does this happen and how can it be solved.

I,m using TRS06 if thats any use.

This sounds like a video compression problem with Windows Movie Maker. I've only used the program once without really looking at the settings, but I'd check around and see what the video settings are there for the final video. If you use something that is highly compressed, your video will be very poor.

I hope this gets you in the right direction.

Have a look at the size of those 30 second FRAPS clips. If you edited them into a single four or five minute file you would never upload it. Something has to give and quality suffers as file size reduces. If you plan to upload there is no point saving it any better than WMM because UTube will compress it further anyway. If the vid is just for your own use there are prolly freeware editors known to Google which won't muck the format around....

Try using the Windows Live video maker, far better than Windows one plus it can be added to YouTube direct from the program. See http://windowslive.com/desktop/moviemaker (only for Vista or Windows 7 though)
