I have the hardest time finding if I have any replies to my post. I go to the category I used (if I remember it) & 1 by 1 I look for my post & hope I find it. My private messages (it states 1) doesn't open. When I logon, it knows me, but after that I'm lost...............HELP. THANX

If you tick "User CP" in the Forum header , it allows you to set up many options .

Click your user name and then click "view all posts".

To view the topics you have posted on press search at the top of the page and select Advanced search, enter your username into the search by username box and it will display the topics you have posted in and put the ones with new posts (since your last visit) in Bold, you can then go into one of these topics and press View new posts at the top of the topic.

An easy way to find threads you've posted in or want to keep track of is to use the Subscription feature. Click User CP, click Edit Options, and look at the option:
Default Thread Subscription Mode
If you change that to something other then Do Not Subscribe then every time you make a post that thread will be added to a list. You can access that list via Quick Links->Subscribed Threads.

As far as Private Messages, those are totally separate from thread posts.

First subscribe to any posts you're interested in.

Then go to your CP and click "Notify me by email" or words similar to that.

Every time someone posts to the thread, you will be notified by email with a link to the post.

It's that simple!

Find my messages

Thanx to all for your help ! Now, how do I reply? I see a list of several threads to me & at the bottom a box 'Reply'. To whom? Everyone on the list, or the last one? I also saved (desktop shortcut) a forum screen that has my username in the top left side of the screen on top of the replies I rec'd. How did that get there? why can't I get it again? I also gives me options. Sorry to bother with this, but I'm not going to have much luck getting help if I can't navigate thru the forum area.
