Flying Scotsman Lights ?

So igot the Flying Scotsman but can anyone tell me how i can set those lights on front ? Because no matter what i try i can not get it to show up and i did see people with videos having it.

Are you referring to my model? If so, in the latest version there is a new method for setting them. In the properties dialogue in surveyor, or the control right click dialogue in driver, press head codes 1962 and then select from the options. This is a pretty standard technique for putting lamps on a British locomotive.

I cant find that option, i got the one from the store as it was a choice for gold members to pick. So is there an updated version i need to get for that ? And yeah it seem to be yours by the way, means your also the creator of all those amazing looking coaches i got from the dls they dont have lights either by the way even though you can choose gas or electric on most it doesnt turn on any light at night. Anyway what version of the scotsman do i need to get for the headcodes ? Because the one i have has no properties dialogue for headcodes i have livery choice with only 1 choice and i can change head name plate

The version that comes with the session from the store you turn the lamps on by setting the marker lights property too day and night. I recommend downloading the latest version from the DLS. It has better options for lights and headboards along with improved texture and material settings.

I tried tbat light setting but it didnt do a thing, will update to thr newer version later when i get back on again and try that one out, is it the same kuid that can easyly be updated ?

The new version is the same KUID. There are over 30 other versions of the LNER A1/A3 available too, including the 1960s version with twin tenders and more recent versions with double chimney and smoke deflectors. Search for LNER Gresley under my username to find them all.

Is there an easy way to check every asset for new versions ? It doesnt seem to do it on its own.

And are all those others also new updated versions with the headcode option ?

The names go with the running number so to get Flying Scotsman set it to 4472 (or 103 or 60103 for later era models). To get the Headboard click the (+) button next to Destination in the Route Selection options and select from the list.

The new headboard method allowed headboards to be added to more locos than was possible under the old system. Also the choice of headboards has been expanded and made more historically relevant.

Does these options are also available onyour other locs ? Like the Metropolitan ones ? Light headcodes, names etc

The running number is randomly selected from a list of appropriate ones when you first place it on a map. Once it's placed the number doiesn't change.

Here's a list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LNER_Class_A1/A3_locomotives

Lots of my locos have options. Not all locos have the same ones though, also similar features might not be activated the same way on all locos. All named locos have a full set of name textures selected from an appropriate list. Generally you can find name lists on Wikipedia or other websites. Always sensible to go through the properties dialogue when you get a new loco!

D49 locos use LNER 4200 gallon tenders or ex-GCR tenders. They should appear in CM when you search D49.
