The version that comes with the session from the store you turn the lamps on by setting the marker lights property too day and night. I recommend downloading the latest version from the DLS. It has better options for lights and headboards along with improved texture and material settings.
Is there an easywayto check every asset for new versions ? It doesnt seem to do it on its own
The new version is the same KUID. There are over 30 other versions of the LNER A1/A3 available too, including the 1960s version with twin tenders and more recent versions with double chimney and smoke deflectors. Search for LNER Gresley under my username to find them all.
The names go with the running number so to get Flying Scotsman set it to 4472 (or 103 or 60103 for later era models). To get the Headboard click the (+) button next to Destination in the Route Selection options and select from the list.
The new headboard method allowed headboards to be added to more locos than was possible under the old system. Also the choice of headboards has been expanded and made more historically relevant.
The running number is randomly selected from a list of appropriate ones when you first place it on a map. Once it's placed the number doiesn't change.
Here's a list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LNER_Class_A1/A3_locomotives
Lots of my locos have options. Not all locos have the same ones though, also similar features might not be activated the same way on all locos. All named locos have a full set of name textures selected from an appropriate list. Generally you can find name lists on Wikipedia or other websites. Always sensible to go through the properties dialogue when you get a new loco!
D49 locos use LNER 4200 gallon tenders or ex-GCR tenders. They should appear in CM when you search D49.
