Flashing points/Switches

When I am playing with Trainz, and because I use AIs to do all the work, I always F5 the screen so that I have an unobstructed view of the events. TRS22 has this annoying (to me) habit of flashing red/green arrows when a set of points/switches changes.

I seem to recall a variation on that in an earlier Trainz version however, the position of the cursor was a factor back then and, if I recall correctly, the optimum cursor position to suit my needs was upper right. That does not seem to do much with TRS22 though.

Do any of you know how to disable that "visual"? Many thanks. Colin.

It is an old problem (not special for TRS22) and an old big wish of me:
"Please: get rid of the switch arrows that appears when a switch moves while driving a session!"
Its also very ugly when creating a video of a session.

Perhaps somebody in N3V will respond. I deliberately did not report it as a bug in the hope that a solution would not be complicated but, in the absence of any other help, then I will go the "bug" route! Regards. Colin.

Rather than ban the "switch flash" totally, a better solution would be to make it optional.

I rely on it to confirm that the AI has set the switches as there is often a delay as it "thinks" about it. But I do understand the needs of those who are creating a video and do not want it to become a distraction.

No problem from here pware. I can sort of understand why a driver would get reassurance from seeing the points change, although isn't the signaling supposed to tell the driver what's ahead????? Regardless, I totally agree that an optional solution would be great. Ideally, for me, they could link it to the F5 button. let's just wait and see where this goes. Regards. Colin.

There are many of these in game that I don't recall anyone asking for:
-Flashing lights and night cab forward when a train starts
-night mode and lights turning off when loading at an industry or station
-pressing a camera 3 button then suddenly a box [Activated lineside camera]
you already know you pressed it and see the change in view,
why would we need a box with unneeded info?
-junction arrows appearing unneeded like the thread says
-the default ON of junction name/signs when you start a session
always have to press Ctrl H, why not default OFF?

would be cool to have a setting
[v] turn off screen info
or
[v] movie mode

I have always found that the best option for new users to any software (or old users trying to get their "head around" a new update) is to have the default ON. As they become more familiar with the controls then they should be able to set default OFF.

Totally agree there.
