Hi.
Running TS2009 SP4. Can download using ftp. Unable (never able) to download from DLS using Download Helper. Get message "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address because the protocol (trainz) isn't associated with any program"
Can someone please describe how to specifically associate TRS2009 with a suitable program to overcome this.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Have tried all suggestions from the various links except the registry hack and reinstall of TS09 but with no success. Thanks for all suggestions.

Try going into Tools->Options->Applications. Is there a trainz protocol handler there? Or a CDP one?

FYI, I might be going to bed soon...

Problem Solved

Many thanks RRSignal. Can now download using helper.

For the benefit of others with the problem 3 options were available for trainz in the Applications list.

1 Use Content Manager (the option set in my list)
2 Use Content Manager (Default)
3 Use Other - the following text appears "The following applications can be used to handle trainz links" along with the path to Content Manager.exe which can be set by Browsing to the exe file.

This in itself did not solve the problem. However, then selecting option 2 "Use Content Manager (Default)", Download Helper worked: Content Manager not only opened but displayed the files for downloading and did so.

Thanks again.
