Fire Sale of TS12 plus other Simulators by N3V Games....

*HRH in real life*
Sine N3V Games announced a HUGE sale today via Simulator Central here, there is NO excuse anymore for those die hards who still stick to TRS04, TRS06 and some later editions of Trainz. Plus many more other simulation games there too in a similar price range. Imagine, just $8 smackeroos (dollars) will get you TS12, boxed or digital, boxed with of course extra freight added. So go and GET 'EM.

There's a great reason to stick with TRS2004, TRS2006, etc. for many people: They work. There's another good reason: Not everyone's hardware is up to par.

With that said, it's a great price.

I got TS12 for $19,99 at JR and got a free $20 loco thrown in ... so TS12 was essentually free

I bought dozens of DLC when N3V had a 75% off sale years ago ... then most locos were less than $5

FCT's are not on sale ... Blah ~

I already have everything ... nothing to see here ... moving along

Hope your on a commission mate :)
I just got a few items not trainz but non steam version of some stuff I have been wanting to try sometime :)

I didn't know people needed an excuse to use whatever version of Trainz they choose. That's their business.

No mate, no commission there for me, I wish. I thought these prices were too good to pass up, hence I posted that link. Plus, if it helps to get N3V Games a bit more coconuts/bananas to accelerate the development of TANE, it is a win/win situation for us. In fact, I bought 2 versions of TS12 and 1 of Farming Simulator, good Christmas stocking fillers for the little and not so little ankle biters :hehe:.

Cheers

Why is N3V trying to push Trainz 2010 (for $4.98) when they don't even support it. That's like Microsoft advertising Windows 98 for sale. If I was purchasing a product from an Author, I would at least expect them to be supporting it.

To make money.

That's like ....
... every other shop in the world pushing their old stuff for a huge discount.

Don't know about New Zealand, but in my part of the world you pretty often see shops offer products at a huge discount but with no guarantees or a no-return policy :).
I used to walk by the local toy and game shops once a month and check out their 1-5 euro bins to pick up some older games. I usually know how to get them to work on my PC; great way to get a few older but still good games. Also great for LAN parties as not all my friends have a new PC.

End of support means:

No more future SP's will be made for that version
Your uploaded assets to the DLS will be ignored and rejected for having an inferior trainz-build numeral

That is all that unsupport does

It's a common retail practice. It's often called a Clearance Sale. You buy the item as is, no returns exchanges, or refunds.

There you go. As long as this forum keeps going there really is no "unsupported" version of Trainz. Pretty much any problem within reason can be dealt with.

Community support can only go so far; does anyone here know what to do with a crash dump, for example? Core problems with the software will forever go unresolved.

MSTS has been going a long time without support just the community.
