Finding Amtrak engines!

Acela Hornsound

Does anyone plan on making an Acela Express Hornsound:confused: ? I really need it for my Acela Power Cars.

There are a bunch of K5LA hornsounds out there that'd work perfectly, Tyler :)

I can't remember the name offhand, but the K5LA that SPORBUST uses on his SD40 engines is perfect, and I've replaced all of my Amtrak horns with it. I advise you do the same :D

Are you talking about the Nathan K5LA? No I'm not using that! That is for the SD40-2's. I want the real Acela horn.

Ya know, Corey won't do them if people beg for them, and that's excactly why you have to be patient. Corey's a busy guy, so he can't make this in two seconds.

Well, if you look up Amtrak on the DLS you can find Genesis, F40, and other locomotives but if you look up Acela, you'll find the Acela trainset. Unfortunately there are no F59PHI or Rhino models available at the moment, however they have been discussed and there were some F59PHI in progress screens a while ago. An E60 and AEM-7 were in production but I don't know what their status is.

Hope that helps,

Jesse D.

there are rhino units but they are on conny's website

Corey and I have, since the end of last year, ceased operations for VBG. We're not sure if this is going to be permanent or not. My computer over the course of several months has been wiped due to computer switches and errors. I didn't get much of a chance to back my Trainz data up, including the P32-BWH model amongst several other projects. Also we tended to over-edit a lot of things, making them unusable by the general public, and didn't even pass the beta stages. Corey may still have models lying around somewhere, but we still haven't made any progress (to my knowledge) on them.

To be completely honest though, Corey and I more lost interest/gave up hope in making stuff for Trainz, which is why a lot of our stuff turned vaporware. I'm a 2nd year in college right now with a near full-time job, and Corey is (I believe) pursuing a career in aviation and also has a full-time job. Both of us have very busy lives outside of the Trainz world, and don't have all that much time to spend on resurrecting old projects. We don't even have much time to keep in contact with each other. The best thing any of you can do is to either hope that another company/organization/group is going to make these models, or you can learn how to make this stuff for yourselves and use it for your own benefit.

Because honestly, the constant private messages on YouTube and the forums, plus the harassing emails demanding stuff, aren't going to make us want to work on these projects more, or even dig them up from the grave and work on them again.

Just my two cents.
