Find Object in surveyor not working (2010)

When working in surveyor and try and use the find object from the drop down menu, nothing is happening. Thought it could have just been the route i was working on but it is doing it on all routes.

I think you have somehow been placing assets in the session layer when you thought you were placing them in the route layer. Check at edit Route and Edit Session level to see what you get.

n.b. You can move individual objects between layers and also merge layers if you need to.

Have tried you suggestions but no luck. Have tried on other routes that have never been edited and the same with them. I would think that a file as become corupt in Trainz 2010 and the only way is to reinstall, which i don't really want to do. Would have to save everything that iv'e downloaded which takes ages.

Problem solved. On the surveyor screen I noticed a small grey box in the lower left of the screen, wondered what it was clicked and draged it and it was the find object box. Some how it was opening out of view and not in its usuall place.
