Finally got the route merged!

"Oh, I'm a lumberjack and that's OK.....la da da.....panties and a bra." Sorry, I feel like I cleared the way myself. Now I got that Monty Python song stuck in my head. I've got a lot of stuff I would like to get rid of.

I've got the basic mainline laid down over 14 merged maps. I have them named; Dartmouth, Dartmouth2 to Dartmouth14. I merged all of them to Dartmouth. I have all of them showing on the route list. Can I get rid of Dartmouth2 to Dartmouth14?

Along the way, sessions were made, I guess from making adjustments. On the route I want to keep (Dartmouth), can I remove the sessions? I think there are about 15 or so sessions for this route. I'm just worried about losing the route, and I'm not sure if getting rid of the sessions will cause me to loose all the parts I merged to Dartmouth.

Hope this makes sense to you. Now I better get away from this keyboard, before I mess it all up!

Thanks in advance, I'm not touching anything until I hear from someone who knows much more than I about these matters.

Cheers, Thanks again......Rick...... "..Just like my dear papa" dang it's back again!

Hey Rick,

Congratulations on your merge! :D

Yes you can delete the other bits including the other sessions if you really don't need them. You can definitely remove the sessions, but I'd keep the other route-bits around for a bit, just in case there's a whoops somewhere and the section needs to be merged in. This is your decision not mine. ;)

Now I've got that song stuck in my head. "Oh, I'm a lumberjack and that's OK...."

Thanks, John. Can't wait to start working on it. I have a million things to figure out, and soon more questions, I'm sure.

Yes, I'm afraid those Brits must not think much of us poor Canucks! I mean, really, what could be a more manly occupation? I'm cutting all the branches off of a big old dead spruce, down by the marsh. It's been dead for about 5 years. I'm up as far as I can go on my ladder. Looks like climbing is my next option. I hated to see the old girl go, and i'm leaving the trunk for woodpeckers. It's about 50 ft tall, an osprey might find it useful for a nest. The branches are 3 or 4 inches thick and it's bone dry. Good for starting fires in the wood stove.

Thanks again, cheers.........Rick, sorry about the tune, it will go away, sooner or later!

Thanks Sniper; Just got my chores done, I'm about to look into doing this. I have got tons of stuff to learn. I have not even finished the basic driving tutorials. As soon as I found out you can make your own route, that's what I wanted to try. It will most likely never make it into the DLS. I think it was a pretty laid back operation. I can't recall the CNR having flashing lights or bells and whistles at any crossings until I was about 12 years old. Before that we had to put our ear on the track, to find out if anything was on the way!

Cheers, thanks to you and John and others for getting me this far. Shane too, of course.....Rick

Oh, SUSPENDERS and a bra! Well, I guess that's not so bad. It can get mighty cold up here, a fella needs all the gear he can find to stay warm. Also, "Just like my dear MAMA", sorry dad, you must be spinning in your grave! Have a look at "Precision Drilling". I've been getting a laugh from that for about 40 years. Now you've done it, I'll be looking at Monty Python for the rest of the day! I need a little break from Trainz, anyway.

Currently watching American entertainment, Detroit Lions and Houston Texans trying to figure out how to play football while the replacement referees screw up the calls. Hilarious! :hehe:

Well, dang it! Hi Chris, I answered your post earlier this morning. Must have forgot to click it...again. Boy, I'm getting forgetful these days. My friend, if I ever produce something good enough for the trainz community, I will be shocked and delighted. All I have now is the 90 miles of track winding it's way around gentle sloops, hugging the Atlantic coast, and going straight through salt marshes, just like it should. No scenery, not even a blade of grass yet. It should be finished........oh,maybe early.....2022! No matter how crappy it is, I will make sure you get a look at it! (Unless I've passed on)

Yeah, that darn tune is hard to shake out of your head. Poor lumberjacks. Well, if you're surrounded by all that wood for months, something's bound to happen, sooner or later......"not that there's anything wrong with that"

Cheers.......Rick
