Faulty people in TS12

I just downloaded all of the Male/Female stand and sit characters, but only the ones that are included in TS12's content came thru. All the rest are listed in CM as faulty, and show up in the Object Picker list in red letters, and won't show up on screen. Does anyone know why this is? Is it possible to find out what the fault is and correct it? Outside of the 'n path' characters, these are the best looking people to put on my platforms. Could it just be that they have to be redone to work in TS12? And speaking of platforms, I have noticed that the people already placed on station platforms are different, but I don't see them in the object picker list. Where do I get them from?

You will need to check for Faulty items in Content Manager and see if the items that are showing red in Surveyor are listed. If they are, right click on one of them at a time clicking View Errors and Warnings each time. Make a note of the errors reported then close the box.

Also check if any of the items in question have Missing Dependencies. (If it has a yellow ?, use View Dependencies to find out what's missing)

The passengers that appear on platforms is probably the built-in Passengers asset.

I did the above, and here's what I got.
1 Error
4 Warnings.
W1. This asset uses an obsolete trainz buildl number. Trainz build numbers below 2.7 are no longer supported.

W2. Aliased meshes cannont currently be verified by trainz.

E1. The tag 'kuid-list' is not permitted within container of type 'buildable.'

W3. Required container 'thumbnails' is missing.

W4. Missing or invalide selection for tag 'catagory era' in 'buildable.'

This being said, how come there are a few 'female standing,' and a lot of 'male standing/sitting' in the object pick list? I need some 'female sitting' figures. The fact that there are some characters available means there has to be a way around those errors. Is it something I can do, or am I just out of luck?

You didn't post a kuid number of the asset that you're having a problem with, so I can only guess at your problem solution.
The only thing in your warning/error list is:
E1. The tag 'kuid-list' is not permitted within container of type 'buildable.'
Use CM to open the kuid for Edit - Edit in Explorer and edit the config.txt file and find kuid-list. If this is supposed to be the kuid-table usually found at the bottom of the file, edit it. Else delete the line that has it since it is an illegal tag. The save and commit.

I think the issue stems from the fact Auran completely changed the appearance/textures of the built-in passengers in 2009/2010/2012, which are totally different to the older style 04/06 ones (the old-style passengers ironically look more 'modern' compared to the newer passengers which have more of a 1940's/50's appearance to them - some of the new male passengers are wearing Tilby hats and suits with suspenders, and the female passengers are all wearing long skirts).

I know xjc released stand alone versions of the older default Auran passengers, but only the female ones are available sadly (and then only about twenty of them out of the hundred different figures that Auran had made). Still, they're worth using anyway as a number of passengers are included that wouldn't appear by default due to the above errors.

Well, there it is. Makes no bit of sense to me. Please explain what and how I am supposed to edit. (Please use words of one syllable or less.:-) )

I've had a go at fixing these in the past, and failed utterly - one of VERY few assets I've been able to do nothing with. I suspect that the way that these try to use the built-in passengers from TRS04/06 is at least part of the reason that 09/10/12 don't like them.

As an aside, do they work in TC3 anyone?
