Far from home?

Get over it
Look at the pictures and guess where I live. No peeking. I've seen these locos in my area a couple times this year. Not sure if they're the same ones since I didn't get the number last time. Anyhow, I thought they were neat since we don't usually see them in this area. The NS looks new unless it's been cleaned up well.

Oh yeah, I live in Southern New Jersey next to the Delaware River.

Paulsboro NJ or so.... I believe these are probably either the ethanol trains from the west or the oil trains also from the west. Pretty sure thats the ultimate destination of alot of these, minus the ones that go into Enola, down the Port Road and into the Delaware City, DE refinery.

Sounds like you live nearby, stouthm. I see these too on the CSX Trenton Line. Plus BNSF, CN, CP, Iowa, Chicago and Eastern! These are oil trains from North Dakota on their way to a new refinery in Philadelphia.

There has been a KCS unit somewhere around here too, though I haven't seen it yet.

Love seeing all these oil trains! :D

I've also seen them up on the old B&M on the Lowell line. PAR runs an oil train now up to Maine the units must be part of that train running up here.

@ RRSignal - guess what just passed my house? I heard it before I saw it. Yep, the KCS loco. There's a road crossing near my house and when he sounded the horn I knew it sounded different than any I have heard. My wife had the camera so no pictures but a really neat looking loco.

I'm wondering why this post didn't move this thread to the first page and why are there no indicated responses? What's up with the moved label? This is where I originally posted. What the heck is going on?
