Its suppose to be Penn Central Black, I tried to get it as close as possible, but its still flawed.
Over the course of the summer, I will gather more information and try to find an exact paint code for The Erie Lackawanna B unit and Penn Central Colors. The conrail blue however, is spot on. It looks just like blue i remember from 10 years ago.
If anyone knows the exact RGB for them let me know.
Do all F7 A B able to jointedrail or DLS?
We need to know about it...
For PC, I would just use RGB 0,0,0 but there are different ways to try an achieve black.
1 - You need a paint program that does layering. Set a color layer above the reskin and try different layer settings such as Multiply plus dialing down the percentage of the layer less than 100%.
2 - If the background is light enough try Negative Image on it. Detailing will still stand out in lighter shades.
3 - Brightness/Contrast controls also.
Regarding color, I would just go for something close. You can download a unit in colors you are looking for and get a RGB off it. There used to be color charts one or two places. Going by color phots isn't reliable sometimes, probably a lot.
Wish someone would re-skin the superliners into Santa Fe bi-levels for the El Capitan.
