Just a quick stop and hi ...

figure I posted this so people can take a look!

Tonight, 11pm, Eastern USA on the HISTORY CHANNEL. (7/4/09)

A ride on a freight line from Omaha to Sacramento. Also: an exploration of the building of the Transcontinental Railroad in the 1860s.

Take care all

Thanks ish6, But I think it's a bit late for that program, according to my system it's already 8/5/09

Cheers,

Hello,

I have the entire series, I think all 5 shows, on my cable HD box already recorded. Excellent shows.

Anyone know how to take the shows into my computer?
Can I record it through HDMI or YPBPR outputs?

Once I do that I can edit out commercials and put it on DVD so I can share it with anyone who wants it. Maybe put it on a site with lower resolution.

Can any "video expert" help me? I've never done this kind of thing.

Thanks

Isn't that illegal without the right permission? But anyway, I'm pretty sure there are programs to get it from the TV to the computer, but you need a high-definition TV tuner card in the computer to get them from the TV. I think you can use a wireless network if both the box and the computer are connected.

Just my 2 cents

Sure is, but do not fear! Season 1 available on the iTunes Store for $15.00.:hehe:

BUT... will there be a season 2? I liked the show, but I'm not sure if the ratings were good enough to be worth a second season. Hopefully they were, though.

Those dummies over at History channel aren't hosting Extreme Trains Season two because they wanted to open time slots for over shows.

It had very high ratings, people just were saying:

OMG Matt Bown is too hyper he needs to calm down. His show is good for little kids too not adults

Killed the golden goose...

 Yea, unless they take hate mail & rude & ridiculous comments about the shows host as "popularity," the railfan community effectively killed a railroad program that had tons of possible subjects & a dude that was way into bringing it to YOU.

I even read one so-called CSX managers put-downs on the host!

But it was fun while it lasted!
