Exporting a TRAINZ layout

I am currently using TRAINZ 2006. (Waiting on the arrival of my TRAINZ 2010) :D

I am working on a project with a Flight Simulator VA, and have been asked to try to create a "scenery area" for use in a flight. Can I export a portion of a TRAINZ layout (map) so that it will be visible in Flight Simulator X? If so I want to use the "rail yard" portion of my layout "Liberty Route".

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance to all the folks that make these great assets available.

Auran Trainz uses Auran JET as its 3D game engine. Microsoft Flight Simulator does not. Due to this reason, you likely would not be able to make such a conversion without a third-party tool that could re-write the Trainz layout to a Microsoft Flight Simulator format. But then, you would also need to re-write/convert all of the assets that the Trainz layout uses as well, which would be a lot more than just a map re-write/conversion. :p ;)

It may be possible, but probably not without hordes of effort from a software programmer, as well as the end Trainz user. ;)

Regards.

Retro,

Thanks for the quick reply.

WOW!! I was hoping to get away with something a lot less complicated. :hehe: But, that's my luck

Anyway, it looks like a scenery design program for FSX is in my future.

Regards,

Mike
