export and import CDP's question

Is there a way, or a best practise for when you want to export a route and its session for importing onto another computer?

My scenario is that I have my main PC and a good laptop. I have TS12 installed on both.

Once in a while I copy all files and directories from the main pc to the laptop so I can play on the road, but when I cant I will simply export the route and session and import vie content manager.

My question/problem though is that the route will also export all the dependencies. Then it will take quite a long time to "package" the export and almost as long to reimport them.

Is there a way when importing to skip depencies? As apposed to overwriting them?

Is there a way to export a route (or session) and only dependencies within a week old or somesuch?

This way I'd be exporting a dozen vs 1500 or so...

Thanks.

When in CM, open the file for the route and save to CDP.. Save to a flash drive. Then do the same for the session. Move the flash to your laptop and import CDP. It moves the session and route, but not the dependencies. I do this everytime I chnage things so there is a back up. If you want to move dependencies, select dependencies in main viewer and save to CDP, but it may take time to do this.

Packing a route and session to cdp should NOT include any dependencies. To get the deps you must be right click > show deps > show in main list > pack

Simply highlighting the route and session > right click > save to cdp gives only the route and session, no dependencies.
