Simply awesome. Loving that up and down tracks zone. Glad to see you on again on route creation. Keep it up Andy :D

Greetings from spain

when ur last thread was going on we saw a beautiful leasers and we hope that we will get them with route but we didnt and now again these leasers are teasing us

Dont trying to hurt anybody, but if you want the engines justt ask them to him by PM or rskin some to loolkile them. As this thread is to show the route progress and not how pretty are the engines. Just saying
Keep up the good work Andy

and Kamran, its only my opinion ;p

Greetings

Andy has always shared all of the assets required for his routes, including locomotives, in the description area of his website and where they can be downloaded. There were locomotives available to go with his East Kentucky route, and he included links for them whin the EK3 pages were up (not sure if they are now or not). As was explained in the other EVWR thread, there are issues with certain locomotives that are keeping him from being allowed to share them. Asking him by PM won't change the fact that he's not allowed to share them.

(I've tried to help fill the void by releasing a few more switchers and a caboose- search the DLS for EVWR)

I'm sorry to tell you Dermmy that the hoppers that have the blue lines on them are mostly used in only plastics services, but I could be wrong. Just my two cents but I guess you can use what ever you want. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. Also, still looks awesome.

Plastics? Damn! LOL. I really like the set of blue ones, but I guess I'd better dig out some ADM next time, and as pointed out the beautiful switchers are available from Cody (2wayne) :)

The yellow one, especially, is far from beautiful. Hasn't seen beautiful in at least a decade.

That's what makes it so great!;)

For grain hoppers ADMX,CRGX, and just about any railroad name will work. Try to say away from ACFX,UNPX,EQUX,CHEX,ALAX,UTCX just to name a few plastics carriers. Don't forget cylindrical hoppers too, almost all of these carry nothing but grain except for a few cases. But once again this is just my thoughts so you can do what ever you want just some tips.

The route is looking great Andy keep up the good work man!
Just as a BTW they are used in talc as well.
one of them is in the back ground (sorry about the large image I couldent get it to resize)

I finally got enough of the changes at SWMC done for an overall shot of Aventine Energy's brand new ethanol plant. The plant is literally just completed on the prototype but I have exercised a little artistic licence and backdated it a bit - all shiny new and bright just doesn't do it for me! Anyway here is an overview of the revised road and track layout at the north end of SWMC:

swmc_251.jpg

Despite being a series of loops the plant is not a continuous unloading loop, there is only one way in and out. 100 car trains are split on arrival into two 50 car trains, and the units which were the trailing DPU power on arrival become the head-end power on departure.

A couple more shots, including a shot of the head-end power parallel running with its own DPUs...

Ops, just spotted an omission on the gantry - fixed :)

Awsome industry work as always Andy!!,

Any chance you could copy'n'paste that plant on a empty baseboard for me lol, just kidding mate.

I'm looking to kit-bash a plant in one of me own projects, need to do a ton of research yet to get me head round the nuts'n'bolts of the process and a bit time in goggle earth checking out prototypes.

All good fun!!

Andrew.

I made up a 2.2 board with a plant like that....Here are some pix of it:

@ Andrew - try flashearth (www.flashearth.com), images load quicker than GE and it often has more up-to-date images. FE has had the Aventine plant at SWMC for ages, GE still has empty fields...

His current site does not list direct links to the freeware offered by Jointed Rail because he refuses to register at our site. In any case, the items required for his routes are still available at JR and are not going anywhere.
