Welcome, In a a few i am going to mess around with it and try getting steam Soundz to work for it. ill post the details once i figure it out
Yes, ATSF 2929 4-8-4 from Trainzitalia - a nice steam loco and probably the closest you'll find to the 3751 (as rebuilt) in Trainz. Mrtrain's ATSF 2925 that's on the DLS definitely shows it's UTC vintage when compared to andrealuigi's No. 2929.kon1786: I have downloaded the #2929 from Trainzitalia and I cannot Get it to Chuff(no engine sound) is there anything I can do to fix this??Thank you in advance..

There are several problems with the steam sounds for this loco in Trainz if you are trying to run it in TS9 thru 12. To fix them you have to do the following:
1st) the config file for kuid:146153:292915 (main bogey) needs to be edited and have the direct-drive 1 tag added.
2nd) the animdist for kuid:146153:292915 (main bogey) is incorrect for TC3 and newer versions if you are running under CAB control mode. Contrary to what the Trainzdev Wiki says you cannot fix this for both DCC and CAB control with a simple config edit. The listed animdist tag needs to be changed from 5.325 to 6.3837 for CAB mode. The original number will work ok in DCC control mode but the wheels will turn way too fast in CAB control mode. This is due to a design feature in trainz that behaves like a bug that shows up under certain conditions. Unfortunately this bogey is one of them. You can't get this bogey to work correctly in both DCC and CAB mode unless you hexedit the anim.kin file or change the FPS setting in gmax (or max) and re-export the animation. The total number of frames is set to 37 and the fps is set to 30. For TC3 and newer the fps in this file has to be set to 36 for it to work. Very simple job to hexedit the anim.kin to change the fps setting if you know how. I've indicated the necessary part of the .kin file format in a post in another thread for those interested. (If the .kin file is edited to change the fps setting to 36 then an animdist of 6.3837 works correctly for both DCC and CAB modes).
3rd) enginesound asset referenced in the loco's config is for a 4-6-6-4 loco. In TRS4 and 6 it wasn't possible to get 8 exhaust cuffs from the game (without resorting to a custom loco script like the one I wrote for Ben Neal) so the sound files were usually fudged to try and get it. This was only partly sucessful. For the 4-8-4 which should have only 4 cuffs - well it's just not good. It needs an updated enginesound asset in anycase for TC3 and newer and there are several generic ones on the dls that will work correctly.
Not a sound problem but the enginespec is an old version and needs to be updated for TS9 thru 12 use. I'm not sure if there is a new one for the SP GS-4 on the dls or not - Bill Fock may have made one - I didn't check. It would be a fair substitute until a proper one is made.
