Estonia - New passenger trains

Just yesterday, January 1, Estonia swapped out the old Edelaraudtee trains:

for the faster Elron Stadler FLIRT trains..

Gets you from Narva - Tallinn in a lot less time.. but for double the price

Opinions?

Well, I don't think that new trains is an excuse to raise the prices especially if the new trains are much more cost effective than the old ones.
How much better are the new trains? I heard that they didn't put very comfy seats in them.

I sure do hope that our Pasažieru vilciens won't raise the prices when we get new trains...

Honestly I have no idea, I haven't rode in them yet. I've seen them though, I have to say that they look great, but they start braking to stop at the station from quite a distance..

Your new trains look cool, but coolness shouldn't be an excuse to raise the ticket prices.

They probably cost a lot more than the old ones and your transport service use this as an excuse to raise the ticket price. Our local transit company did the same here. Along with new locomotives and trams came higher seat prices.

I came up with an idea! Maybe they raised the prices to have money for a FLIRT presidential train!?

But seriously - will there be a new presidential train? Or was that DR1A just short-term presidential?

I think so too. But probably I feel sad also because all the DMU's and EMU's they had were made in my city and now all of them are being scrapped or going I don't know where with no new ones...
But it's not like I would encourage Estonia to buy new RVR trains instead of FLIRTs because nowadays they still do have quite poor technical stats, no low floor and a design that is very plain, booring and soulless... I am waiting for the day when I could help the factory to make everything for the better..
