I need to know who do you go to with complaints around here? This is the only company I know of that avoids their customers complaints. So far all my complaints have fell on deaf ears. Please don't tell me the helpdesk because that is worthless....I been there, done that. I need a names please. I also need to know the name of the person in charge of the moderators.

I hate to say it but contacting the helpdesk like you don't want to do will put you in contact directly with a person who can get ahold of a person of higher power. Screaming on the forums like they owe you the world won't help the situation very much.

No, they owe me some common courtesy as a customer, which I'm not getting and I haven't been getting. Your statement seems to suggest that the issue is my fault.
I was told by the helpdesk...please don't contact me, it's not my department. Is that help satisfactory to you?

Screaming seems to be the only way to get somebody's attention around here.

No problem. I'll be down for the night here in San Francisco soon, but if I miss it, I'll catch up with tomorrow.

Cheers

After getting a reply from AJ_Fox, I can understand his take on this issue...after all he is a moderator so I really wasn't expecting much.

Here are my final thoughts-
Apparently this is not an issue for N3V. It doesn't seem to matter to them if there is a check and balance system in place for the moderators. So it's like dealing with so many other companies these days... it's buyer beware. My suggestion to new folks is to enjoy Trainz but stay away from the Trainz Forums. It will only be a matter of time before a moderator take what you said wrong or are just plain power hungry or just doesn't like you...you will find there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it, there is no where to go to complain because no one really cares. I now know for a fact there that some people here that can get away with calling people names and being disrespectful while other can not. Most of us are on the wrong side of the tracks...pun intended!
It's also obvious that N3V doesn't really care if they lose content creators or two...this according to Tony Hilliam snarky responses in the another thread. So if you've been around since the beginning and been making content for the Download Station, in turn making N3V money, you will find that N3V doesn't care about your issues so don't expect anything otherwise. I guess they figure there will always be someone else willing fill the position to help them make money by creating new content.

I suggest you use this thread to post your unresolved issues...I'm sure it will fill up fast.

Now that I had my final say I am officially retiring the name LWVRR.

I don't have a problem per se, but I don't like the way that the new helpdesk system is set up. Itseems like a roundabout way of dodging problems. Every time I try to solve a problem, the information never helps. Whenever I submit a ticket, I never get a response.

In my experiences, they did solve my problems, and I am thankful for that. However, I had to relearn having some patience, as it did take some time for them to respond and sort it out. I cannot blame them directly, as it was during the holidays when the DLC server issue arose. So, that is too bad you have problems. That sucks.

I'm sorry but I don't believe this is the case. I've used this forum for over a decade and have never been anywhere near being banned. Stick within the CoC and you will be fine.

And in case anyone is wondering, I've criticised Auran/N3V plenty of times, especially about the Mac version.

I think that a lot of us have had issues with Auran/N3V in the past. I know that I have, but as long as you stay within the CoC and keep your discourse civil and non-emotional, then things will work out. We all have different points of view, but I personally find that the folks at N3V are engaged in this forum and seem to generally care about what our concerns are. They may not always agree with our point of view, but they will engage with us as long as we abide by the rules of the forum.

As far as the helpdesk is concerned, I've only had to go that route two or three times, but each time, I received an appropriate answer which was generally helpful. Granted, the response may take awhile sometimes, but some of us have got to learn a little patience in this 'got to have it now' world.

I'll also say that I think that N3V has shown that they value our input in the whole way that they're going about the whole T:ANE issue and hopefully, in about another year, we can have a sim that resparks our creative juices.

It is just a forum man, take it easy, maybe just take some time off from here. Go sit back and have a few adult beverages and forget about this place. It can be frustrating at times.

First off, we apologise of the confusion on the helpdesk. Felix had not come across any tickets regarding moderation before, and was given incorrect information. The helpdesk is the correct place to take up issues with moderator decisions, however please understand that it can take a little while to fully investigate some situations. And just because you're reported something doesn't mean we'll automatically take the actions you request...

The main thing we ask is that you follow the code of conduct. If you believe a person is making a personal attack against you, please report the post. If you make personal attacks back, you may end up with an infraction as well. At a minimum, we will edit the attacks out of the post (depending on other post content), but often we will give warnings or infractions.

In situations where 1 person makes multiple attacks on multiple people (possibly in multiple threads), whilst those multiple people make one 'attack' each, the person seen to be making multiple attack will receive larger or more infractions for their actions than the other members making 1 'attack' each. Hence one member may end up with a ban, whilst the others end up with single infractions.

Regards

All due respect Zec, but that is very hard to believe, since I had the very same problem a few weeks ago.

In my case, I never got a reply at all from the Help Desk, with the exception of a Survey asking about my satisfaction (at having been ignored?).

I will not go into details about the situation, other than to say that when a Moderator takes the "side" of a Forum member whom does not own a Trainz product, and has in the past admitted to having an ill-gotten version of Trainz TS12, and then goes about "Trolling" the forum....there is a serious problem.

Appearently, calling a Troll a Troll, and outing a Pirate is now against the CoC. (I've got the infraction points to prove it.)

For what it's worth guys, over the years I've had a few problems, which have mainly been downloads or installation issues. At each occasion I raised my problem via the 'Ticket' method and with patience and politeness, I have had every single issue resolved and all within a reasonable time - I even had Zec respond to ensure that my problem was overcome. Lets face it, we are dealing with computers and software. (I probably have more problems with my desktop printer than I do with Trainz) Nothing is 100% (although we'd all like to expect that) so we can all play our part in making sure that if we all want a super-duper New Era Trainz game to fill in our time, that we are prepared to support and co-operate at all levels. I for one cant wait until this new development has ticked all the boxes and the software is ready for installation. As Norfolksouthern37 said, a few adult beverages can soothe the frustrations of many.

What happens when you get this "infraction" notice/points? I'm surprised I've never had any when I get peeved with certain things and have a go back!

At the end of the day, let the kiddies out there play and go off and do something more "adult" instead! (or get your own back on the kiddies of the mad house forums of a certain online games outlet ;) ). :hehe:

Regards.
