If you would have bothered to read my previous posts in this thread, you would know that I'm eagerly awaiting the AC4400s. The post in which you quoted (regarding the "40-year-old junkers") was in reference to the numerous requests for GP40s, SD40s, and other "aged" units, some of which are available from other vendors. Put simply, I was voicing my support for the AC44s.


Is this simple enough for you to comprehend, or shall I reduce it even further?

Hey I put the latest post for AC44's so I fueled it.
At this rate I could care less what what everyone here thinks of these requests being posted multiple times. I just want JointedRail's decision because they haven't really been active here.
ANd for the record, the AC44's were a better engine than the blasted GEVO's that are taking them, -8's, -9's and Special Duty units.

With all due respect, is this something you can confirm, or is it merely speculation?

The AC4400s you have shown and listed as "alternates" are fine units indeed, but they are from World of Trainz which has since closed shop.


As I said previously, spamming JR isn't going to speed them up and it may end up doing the opposite. The AC44s are on the top of my list (and have been for a couple of years) as well, but there isn't much that can be done except sit back and wait.

I should've never mentioned AC44s... Maybe the demand (if asked nicely) will make JR realize that that's what the community wants. JR probably has many things that they're working on, that are much more complete than any AC44, not to mention their personal lives, as their not just content creating robots. They have lives, just like you and me. If there isn't an AC44 in the works already, I'm sure there will be one soon. I honestly think that we should not be gimme pigs about it, but I also feel we should put it out there that us, as a community would like to see new AC4400s. But seriously, there are different ways to ask than by ganging up on JR, demanding AC4400s. I hope JR makes AC44s, but it could be a year, two years, whenever, but it really doesn't matter. In the mean time there is a nice AC4400CW over in the 3D Models thread, which will likely be done before JR does one. Please respect each other as a community, folks. Please calm down.

Here is a little peek at how JR works: someone has interest in making a model, and the time to do it, so they make it. The interest may be derived from personal tastes, community demand, or a combination of the two. You've got #2 covered, so we're waiting for someone who has #1 and time.

I really don't see where arguing over who requested what and whether it was a good idea is needed.

Something I noted last time I posted here, and something I've seen since, is that I think its easy for many people to feel a certain sense of, what I'll term "disquiet" perhaps, when some people keep posting asking for the same things over and over again ad nauseum...... One of many reasons I don't post in these request threads anymore. Saw this and figured I'd offer this perspective. Use it as you will, or not at all, ymmv.....

Im surprised No one here has suggested A new, Updated, and Prettier than the bdaneal version Of the Lady J, N&W 611, Which is great, its just a bit outdated and such (Cant even change the road number on it!).

With the Steam stuff you guys have put out already, I don't see why this couldn't be a Thing as K&L Trainz Have told me after they Finish up their 4-8-4 projects, They won't be doing big steam for a while, and I don't blame them!

Why not make it a Set? With the Cars, the STRIPED Auxiliary water tender, and all that good stuff! Because who doesn't like the 1994 steam season? :hehe:

It's a little better, but i'd have to adjust the text's height to match the J's tender stripe.

I saw one fellow wants a few African Engines. I wouldn't mind having a few myself. Although my ultimate dream engine is the Baldwin Texas Class 6-6-4-8-8 with 24 wheel tender super steam locomotive. Only 3 were ever built and all but a little evidence has disappeared from history. I learned from an old engineer who drove one, all 3 were hidden somewhere underneath where Baldwin Locomotive Works used to be in Texas. I want to find that Factory!! Anyone else game?

Problem Is all of the content from Subpar Productions that I get usually ends up going faulty after a While, I would rather have something reliable, (And perhaps a bit better looking, optimized, and sounding! P.S.- You didn't hear anything from me!) But we need some good looking N&W Powhatan Arrow cars as well, not the poorly reskined ones from the DLS of course, Just saying Jointed Rail could take some inspiration from K&L with their 614 Mega pack, and 611 & Train would be a great place to start!
