Engines Wishlist for Jointed Rail.

How about some more B units, prototypical & fictional, from railroads to model type. Maybe more fictional concept type locomotives too? I know Justin hates fictional stuff so this will probably be overlooked... but oh well...

Speaking of fictional b-units, I thought of this whence SD70ACeB was released. Fictional high hood C40-8s, SD70s, or even Dash 9-40Cs in Southern, N&W, and NS schemes.

I guess the Chinese got it wrong then. (Bachmann Industries is a Chinese-owned comany)

It would be similar to buying your car with or without spinning rims, it is your choice. These companies use a generic F model that just happen to be a 1 light version.

Wow that's a rare pic of that loco. It was told that the locomotive was scrapped because UP was tired of paying for the numerous rebuilds required after the fuel tank sagged the whole frame and caused damage to the tank making the entire engine to explode killing anything within 1000 feet. Fuel was also getting a bit pricey. Interesting request

as one tv show said "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology"

Look up Southern Pacific Black Widow 6304. It only has one headlight and it's a real engine. (unless it's a repainted train for some sort of excursion line)

Yea it was absolutely real. In fact there's one made for it in Railworks but unfortunately it's payware and the developer only accepts Dogecoins.

I guess that's where Bachmann made their mistake. (some of the Bachmann F7's [ATSF] have a "dummy" headlight, so it WAS a mistake that they only had one headlight on their SP F7.)

When cars and planes started to phase out train travel, some railroad companies, as a last resort, modified their trains into "streamliners" to bring in more customers.

(and about the "rocket ship" comment, they did that on purpose! )

Since Jointed Rail seems to specialize in SD40-2's and other EMD's that share that same basic shape...

Why not just make more of those engines?

And I am still amazed at the detail on the built-in Jointed Rail content. (the fact that they even can overheat and fail is cool.)
