If they filled that locomotive with saltwater, it's not going to be a locomotive for long.

The RSD was Matt's, and instead of rebuilding his model, he said I should build one instead. That will happen, probably after RS11s, RSD12s, and re- rebuilt (from the all-new RS11) RS27s.
 
ALCO RS-11
In 1958 the Northern Pacific ordered 12 RS-11's numbered 900 thru 911. NP 906 thru 911 were equipped with dynamic breaks and 1200 gallon fuel tanks.

In 1960 the NP ordered 6 more RS-11's numbered 912 thru 917. All of these units were equipped with dynamic breaks and the larger 1500 gallon fuel tank.

All the units were equipped with Timken roller bearings and all survived into the BN merger and were renumbered BN 4180 thru 4197.

Just thought I'd mention it. :o

Actually, there are 2 or 3 other Alcos, shall I say, which I want to make before anything 251 powered, just because we do have some nice 244 sounds already.
 
I agree, the RS-2 and RS-3. I was looking at the RS-3 roster and a lot of railroads had at least a hand full, but not many had them in large numbers.

Northern Pacific had 14 RS-3's No. 850 - 863. All were configured to run short hood forward, had 45 degree lighted number boxes on each hood corner, MU controls, Hyatt roller bearings and Nathan M3R1 air chime horns.

Spokane, Portland & Seattle was the big ALCO customer on the west coast and had 5 RS-2's numbered 60 thru 64 and 29 RS-3's numbered 65 thru 98. I don't know if SP&S ran short hood FWD or not.

1081, that's his real number, hauled a load of nuclear weapons during the mid 1940's. In the 50's Santa Fe changed his number then filled him up with salt water and left him here in Brownwood. Need money to resurrect him please.

If they filled it with salt water, there would be holes big enough for you to climb into. Salt accelerates the rust engine.
 
is the 2936 an RS36, RS32, or something else? Looks to me like an RS36. And yes we need a fresh batch of Alcos in Trainz. They are sorely underrepresented in roadname choice.

Their original numbers:

5866 - 5871 delivered in 1959 in Scarlet and Grey setup short hood forward and were the only RS11's with low nose or short hood.
