Engines Wishlist for Jointed Rail.

One thing I would to see from JR is new SD60 and SD60M models. While the current ones on the site are still good and still hold up by todays standards. They are a bit old now and could probably use an upgrade.

So here's some ideas for new SD60s if this does happen. I'll list SD60Ms in a separate post. Just a note however, most of these will be revamp ideas.

Norfolk Southern SD60 (Whitestripe, Horsehead and Ex Conrail would be good) Photo doesn't appear for whatever reason.

Conrail SD60 (Conrail Quality would also be nice)

CSX SD60 (Stealth, YN1, YN3 & Ex Conrail would also be good)

EMD Demo & leaser SD60s

And finally Various leasing company SD60s including HLCX, CEFX, CITX, CRIX, GMTX and LTEX.

I can't include every single railroad company that owned SD60s as this post would get too long so quite a lot railroads ended up getting left out but I think I've given enough ideas.

AV3, I agree completely. I'd pay good money for BN, CNW and UP SD60's.

Anyways, if we're talking modern EMD's, why not rework the SD80 and SD90MAC's?

Start with the 80MAC and with Conrail, CSX and NS.

After the main roster have a go at fictionals (CNW!), leasers and more.

For the 90MAC's, start with UP and CP SD9043MACs.

Then, move on to the 90MAC-H and 90MAC-H2.

And if you want, slide in an SD89MAC too :)

Continuing on ideas for revamped SD60s I'm now going to list my ideas for SD60Ms. Again most of these will be revamp ideas. M

And finally a Buffalo & Pittsburgh SD60M.

Well...things went downhill in a heartbeat these last few posts. Let me try and get things back on track.

While i don't have the Conrail B36-7s yet, JR did a fantastic job on these, and i look forward to playing with them when i get the chance. Here's three quick suggestions for more B36-7 schemes

CV, I think you may have posted the CSX YN1 B36-7 twice. Good suggestions! I can also see a stealth B36-7 appearing sometime soon.

I did? Well, i only see one on my screen, and when i go to edit the post...must be on your end.

I agree that a stealth B36-7 would be great, too...depends on which pre-YN2 variant JR decides to choose.

Since CV has suggested some more schemes for the B36-7. Might as well do the same for the B23-7.

Conrail

And if there are any plans for a high hood model.

Southern Railway

Good suggestions! I could totally go with some ATSF ones. Apparently BNSF had a few in H1 (most likely retired by now), so that'd be a cool scheme to have too:

They've definitely been retired, yes. I believe by about 2007 or 2008, most of them were? Having a BNSF B23-7 would definitely be nice, along with the Conrail and CSX units that AV3 suggested. And don't even get me started on the Southern unit...

Anything's possible I guess, just depends on what Matt is working on.

Just thought of something really interesting he could do, why not chop the cab off and make a B36-7B like the SSW did? Would be a fun club car product or would go great with an SSW or SP B36-7 in a loco pack.

Folks, let me take this opportunity to say that this thread is really intended for specific engines -you- would like made. Individual "yeah that one!" quotes and "please do every skin on this model ever made" waffle posts do not really move the needle, especially on a repetitive basis. This is a thread some of us use to seriously gauge public interest in various prototypes, not one to pad your post count in.

Alright, thanks for the clarification.

I'd love to see a BN white face pack using the existing GP38-2, GP40-2, GP50, and SD40-2.

This would make my day as the later years of BN are my main interest.

Also, 1990s era leasers would be awesome too!

Thanks, keep up the good work.

MK5000C or MK50-3. The MK50-3 is easier because it uses a 16-645F instead of a weird CAT prime mover.

Yes. This is one that I really want to see, especially with a Caterpillar 3516 engine. There's currently a Caterpillar 3512B enginesound on the DLS named 'Vossloh G1206 engine' by btrs, <kuid:121398:51206>, which can be used as a stopgap until you get the recording of an actual 3516. Also, anything Southern. And how about some Fairbanks-Morse H-26-66 Trainmasters? Magicland's are getting long in the tooth. Maybe in Virginian livery? https://www.railpictures.net/photo/357292/ Or maybe Southern Pacific is more your cup of tea: https://www.railpictures.net/photo/713965/
