Can someone explain to me what an alias name is in this EULA:

"Under no circumstances is this mesh to be released under another author KUID. If you wish to have this mesh re-skinned, alias names may be used to the base mesh."

This is a set of Justin Cornell's Blomberg B bogies. I need a better weathered set to match a model. I have changed it, but want to get is uploaded in a legal way. I have not tried to contact Justin, just wanted to see if the EULA gives me anyway to do this first.

Can someone explain to me what an alias name is in this EULA:

What is almost certainly being referred to here is the method of creating an asset without the need to actually copy the mesh into the new asset. Instead, it is 'aliased'.

To alias an asset means that you use the 'mesh-asset' tag in the mesh table container to refer to the asset that contains the mesh indicated in that container. Then you provide the texture(s) that will be used for the mesh (where they are different), and write a script to apply the meshes to the mesh.

You have to make you own decisions about what is acceptable and what isn't, but in this case the intent seems pretty clear.
