End of Electrification Question

Can anyone tell me how the end of an electrified line is signed, I assume that there must be some warning indication given to drivers that the line is about to no longer be electrified either cantenery or 3rd line (of course the driver will know when the motor stops but that's a bit late :hehe: ).

Follow on to from the above does anyonew know if there is any content anywhere to fit the answer to the above.

Thanks

Hi,

from what I remember, there's a small rectangular sign (either of a post or attached to the gantry) "electric trains stop here"

I don't know if there is this sign on the DLS.

It would really depend on what country you're in, and even then, what railroad you're on (in those countries with more than one railroad), and perhaps even what era you're modelling (as many older text signs have been replaced with univeral symbol signs).

My local station is the very last station before the 3rd rail ends (Ash Station before North Camp Station). As from what I can remember, there is an orange square on a post with a smaller black square inside the orange square.

Heres what I mean:

Very true, should have been more specific.

British Rail 1970 - denationalization hope that is enough

Thanks
