Hi
In TRS2006 in DCC Mode if you hit keyboard letter " A " it was almost like an emergency stop which at times was handy, I cannot find anything like it in TS12 ? does such a thing exist here ?
Cheers

The "Pause/Break" key is emergency breaks.
The "S" key is emergency throttle to notch 0.
Together you get the emergency stop. To emergency stop you press "Pause/Break" followed by "S" in quick succession. The order isn't important.
"A" is apply breaks normally. "Z" is to lap them (Lap means stop applying them so that you don't have to be at 100% break all the time). "Q" is to release.
So in most trains what you do for a normal stop is press "A" for a bit and then press "Z". The longer you wait before pressing "Z" the harder the stop. If you don't press "Z" you will do almost the equivalent to emergency breaks but (I assume, I never timed it.) slower. The throttle should be lowered with the "x" key one step at a time with a pause between each step. A good stop would be one where you can lap the breaks so that the break cylinder is at 20-40 is (70ish is full breaks) and the throttle has been at notch 0 for a short while before applying breaks.
Anything breaks has a delay. Especially in long trains.
Some trains go to initial when you press "A", you can lap and then "A" again for apply and then lap again if you like. I don't normally use initial, I think it is for slower application of breaks but someone who knows more about it should explain that.
I don't recommend changing they key assignments. The "A" key already has a function that would normally be used a lot in cab mode. It would be a handicap to get rid of it and have to do emergency stops all over the place.
