East Kentucky v2....remapped!

Earlier this morning I posted this thread in another topic area by mistake. I swear sometimes I think my mind is detached from the rest of me. :o

A while ago I downloaded Dermmy's East Kentucky v2 route because I liked it. However, being the type of guy who likes to change things to reflect my point of view, I asked Dermmy if I could make some changes to it. He was kind enough to allow me to do so. These screenshots reflect those changes. I have not changed the landscape, only parts of the trackage, textures, trees and towns or buildings. I even added and item or two that I thought would add to what I was trying to do. While still not finished (after 6 months of working), it will do for now.

One of the things you will notice is that it is not as highly detailed as some of the more current routes since I am using TRS04 and have to face performance issues if I overload the route.

Hope you enjoy them.

SWEET!!

I plan to completely re-do EK1 and 2 as a part of EK3 when 3 is released. That will however not be 'soon'...

Andy :)

If you have to pick a route to play with, that's a good one! I like your screens and they really show the talent both you and Andy have. I have often thought that it would be interesting to see the results of a route that has been worked over by the "Masters". Imagine passing a route between George Fisher, Andy, Yourself and a few others! That would be great to see the influence each brought to the table!:)

....thanks everyone for the comments. Andy did a very good job with the original concept. It is (I think) a large route and as mentioned, I have not yet finished it. I have added mostly double trackage that helps make it a looped route for running AI trains. I will post some more screenshots later for those who may be interested.

Looks great Roy, I have the original, looks like I'll have to get your version too!

Leroy

...yes Dermmy is correct Leroy. It is not for distribution. I appreciated Andy letting me rework it and post screenshots but we agreed that nothing would be made available.
