Springfield, Illinois, 5:05AM Central Time. Fog Hangs low over the Havana River. It's spring; armed with only your trusty railfanning camera, you camp out on Bridge 165.7, waiting for the first coal drag of the day...
A rushing sound draws your attention. You do a double take; did you have too much strong coffee this morning, or is that a Southern Pacific Mt-4 rolling through the cornfields of southern Illinois? Look closer...
My god, it is! Suddenly, the hogger dynamites her; brakes squeal, steam rasps at the cylinder cocks, and rods clank and groan as the old warhorse suddenly grinds to a halt. right in front of you...
It's a dream come to life...
okay, corny storyline nonwithstanding, I've been searching high and low for something that would allow me to accurately model river fog on my layouts: I live in Kansas City, that's kinda our thing :hehe: anyway, I finally stumbled on some fantastic FMA splines on trainzspanishrutas, built to model field "smoke" but hey, it works great here too. what do y'all think?
