Recently acquired TANE (Mac App Store). Busily exploring what is to me a new and pleasant (if imperfect) world, and as part of that I also acquired the Settle & Carlisle payware-route. I have since been looking for suitable additional locos and rolling stock to go on that route and era on the DLS (with some success).
Today I have found what appears to be an empty space. Post the 1948 nationalisation the SnC was used for testing loco performance of existing locos from all the previous four companies in view of developing the BR standard series. As I was trying to make my own consists this stuck me as interesting, as it would allow running out of region locomotives in an 'authentic' way. However it would also require assembling an authentic test train, which would include - a dynamometer car.
I looked on the DLS and found only one for a none UK railway. My question is do any models of a 1950's UK dynamometer carriage exist anywhere which I could add to Trainz - and for the content creators is any one able to make one?
I imagine test trains and working dynamometer cars could make for some very interesting simulations/sessions in Trainz.
