HOLY F______ S_____!!!! What a dumb a__. First, this kid needs to thank whatever god he believes in. Then he needs his head checked by a psychiatrist.

There was a town drunk in KY, that (on several occasions) on his long walk home, taking a shortcut from the local tavern, he would pass out and fall asleep right in the gauge ... When the train that ran over him finally stopped, and the local police questioned him, he said: "I sat up under the moving train, and WHAM, I got blasted in the forehead by a rolling axle, I sat up again, and the last thing I remember was seeing was another axle, WHAMO, the axle blasted him in the forehead a second time ... finally I stopped sitting up" !

Seven teenagers in TN took a dare to see if they all were brave enough, and they all made a pact to lie down in all in secession, prone in the gauge, in the path of a fast moving coal train. One of them rolled off in the nick of time, only to witness all his friends getting all balled up together in the dragging equipment, like hamburger. It took police till the next day to find one of the girls head that got tossed into the weeds.

Progessive genetic stupidity, passed down the family tree by inbreading ... Darwin Award !

Face says it all....

Seriously.Things like that doesnt happen here. I am frightened after seeing this. If that guy makes a bad move, bye bye head. The russians are more dangerous at this side, staying and riding trains on his roof, without taking care of the catenary wire. Many of the have been killed. Two years ago, during the eve of the night of San Juan, a party day, a lot of people tried to cross a double tracked station, at 12:00 PM, being drunk, and being too much to cross the tracks. Because the underpass was out of service, and the uppass was too crowd. So a train at 150 KMh(75-80 MPh) appeared suddenly and killed 12 of them and left 20 wounded. One friend, telled me, that one of his friends crossed the tracks 2 secs before the train appeared, and then it was a suddenly sad moment, and the came to house, with his shirt completely full of blood. I wish to not happen this more, to us and to all

Greetings

A relative of mine was killed this way; He worked down in Kansas City's (Kansas Side) West Bottoms for KC Terminal Railways. One night he decided to be a bit of a humanitarian, and take some extra home-cooked food his wife had made across the tracks to the roundhouse for the night hostlers. He was beheaded by a drifting 0-6-0 (or 0-8-0, can't remember and not sure I really want to). Everyone who knew him said he was far too careful to have not triple checked every time he stepped over a rail to make sure an engine/train hadn't appeared out of nowhere; unfortunately, the back-up light on the switcher was either burnt out or just not turned on by a lazy crew. If the loco had had her power on (IE she'd have been chuffing) he would have heard her soon enough to get clear.

This guy was a professional who had worked on or near railways for most of his life. These geniuses obviously don't have a brain cell between 'em. The only reason my relative (I'm sorry I keep calling him that, but I can't think of his name at the moment) died was because the steamer wasn't barking like she normally would have. nowadays locomotives make less noise at track speed than that switcher did sitting still. A friend of mine had his senior pictures and junior prom photos taken on a BNSF main that runs near his house (I assume; there were some ex-CB&Q looking signals in the background) and I *expletive drowned by steam whistle* near ripped his head off when I found out about it.

I've talked to far too many people who think trains can stop on a dime like a car can, too many who've flat out told me that they'd race a train at a crossing. Frankly, I'm tired of the stupidity and lack of respect people show around multi-million pound machines that can kill them in an instant. I'm with Cascade on this one; these two earned themselves a Darwin Award.

Ya because wow those rails just appear out of nowhere? I mean its not like the rails act as some sort of guide to where a train is going to be coming from.:hehe:

hert:p

Idiot kids.

I agree Darwin Award nominees here.

The sad part is now others are going to try this.

John

It's really not that impressive. They should try it with shorter cars, like two bay hoppers! Now that's a challenge!:o

Too bad it wasn't UP's 3985; I don't think she takes to kindly to people doing THIS right in front of her! (Oh the image in my head right now...*3985* "HEY, BRAINIAC, GET OUT THE WAY!!!! I'VE GOT EXCURSIONS TO HAUL PEOPLE" *dummies* "hehe, talking train...!" *3985* "Alright, it's y'alls funeral" *dummies get clobbered by 3985's pilot*

He obviously doesn't have very good parents. Either that, or he's just a moron. If that was me, I would've done something so cruel and inhumane it's not even funny. I bet $2 dollars no one would be trespassing on my railroad again. Too bad the eighth amendment in the USA outlaws cruel and unusual punishment.

Last week their was a guy killed on the London underground due to jumping on the track as a train was coming in. It happens often are they careless or just plain Stupid people that get into this kind of scrape.

Most fatalities on the network are suicides. On deep tube lines you will notice pits between the tracks, originally constructed to aid drainage of water from the platforms, nowadays these pits are officially called "anti-suicide pits. For more information look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safety_on_the_London_Underground .

Either this guy thinks he is invincible, or he is just stupid...

In his case stupid I would say, either that or he needs medical help.

My heart was in my mouth, what a stupid idiot, in a way I was hoping the train would hit him, it might teach others not to follow his stupidity.

However, the most worrying thing is, he is our future, and he can also vote, now how scary is that...

My guess is probably drunk. Or a dare.
About 15- 20 years ago we had somebody in their late teens early twenties fallasleep drunk on the rails. He was run over by a train. He did make it to thehospital, but did ultimately die from his injuries.
If he is not drunk then he is a thrill seeker of the worst kind. I believe he should be prosecuted for at least trespassing.
And trust me the railroad police do not take kindly to trespassing, especially when it comes to the movement of trains.

Kenny
