Duluth/Superior

Most of them have missing dependencies, I emailed Ben very recently but have not gotten a response - but it is the Holiday. In the next couple of days I'll post a list - I suspect they are around.

Run then through CM2/CMP/whatever you have. the generics need sound files off the DLS and the SDs need a boxcarload of stuff. and don't forget the cabs for the USRAs and such. there's also common files sometimes. I hope i'm not saying something you already know. It might help if we knew which engines you were having trouble with.

Hey - actually I have no clue how to fix them but had tasked myself with learning this process over the Holiday

In going over them systematically it seems that most are missing either the shadow mesh, a black engine texture, or have an odd tag. I'm fairly confident that I can fix the above errors as there are many threads re: these issues on the forum and . . . the tools from PEV.

Here are a bunch of missing KUID's - I don't think I got to the bigger locos on the generic page

It looks like CM3 is rejecting the bogies for some reason...there might be errors in them somewhere. Or else something the game doesn't like. Keep us posted, though.

Out of curiosity, are the USRA engines working?

The USRA locos come up with minor warnings that I suspect can be fixed with minor hassle . . . but . . . they do seem to work.

Fixing the Bogies for some of the others I suspect is beyond my meager skills.

Duluth, Missabe, and Northern #300 coming down through the muskeg, 1890's or so. Loco is from bdaneal, ore car is from Ben Dorsey. Uses both Ultra and JVC vegetation. I have it set up with seasonal textures for summer/aut/winter - sparse speedtrees along the tracks with billboards toward the back. The ore track is my reskin with a matching seasonal ore texture - bright red for the earth-type iron ores from the Missabe range. Taconite needs to be a bit darker.

Well at least we got some type of ore route still going. Seeing that the LS&I route is long gone. But if this route gets released, it will be all diesles ran on it lol. Looking good so far. keep up the good work. :y:

I've got you covered, no worries, you will be able to run everything on it - I'm making several different versions

Wow that looks beautiful, i love those shots with the steamer and the wood ore cars. I guess i'm just old fashioned, but i like those shots better than the ones with the SDs and ore jimmies. Of course, those ore jimmies would look better if hauled by a DM&IR 2-10-2:hehe: (wink wink, nudge nudge)

The landscape should be completely deforested but I just can't make myself do that. Amazing to think that almost all of the Great Lakes states were devoid of trees by 1900 or so.

boarding cars, based on prototypes, numbered correctly. Scant details other then a couple of bad photos and the registration info. Came in sets of 8. Reskin of Pencil's boxcar.

Thanks for the trip back in time, in "the wayback machine" Professor Peabody (Rocky Bullwinkle Show), when Duluth had a population of 1300, Those photos are great !

Nice stuff you have there tariacuri. Awesome old-time photos plus nice to see what you've done with your route.

Keep up the great work!

I like the route, but may i point something out? That rail-only switch near the foreground looks a bit twisty, and sharp. It also looks like the 2-8-0 is going around a trolley curve, which i'm sure would either end in spread rail, broken joints, damaged drivers, or any combination of those three:eek:.

Again, i don't mean to knock the route, the scenery is fantastic...and i really want to run it, don't get me wrong. I just don't know about those switches. They just bother me. Maybe it's just my track preferinces.
