Driver Map in 'Windowed' Mode

Hello all,

I am wondering if there is an option, or the ability, to run the driver map as a separate window beside the normal TS2012 operating screen? I am running TS2012 in 'windowed' mode. By that I mean: I'd like to be able to view the driver map on my one monitor in real-time while I actually operate trains on the other monitor. As it stands right now, when I open the map in Driver, it blocks the rest of the screen and I can't operate. Is there a way to minimize the map screen and drag it elsewhere on the desktop?

Great idea! The ability to have a 'window in window' in Driver showing the mini-map would be so useful compared to the 'either one or the other' approach that we have now. Perhaps transfer this thread to the Suggestion Boxcar?

I believe the only way to do this currently is while running a MP session with two computers. One computer running your train and the other on the map. Never tried it though. You might need two complete copies of the program each with its own code and a wireless internet setup. You'd be at the mercy of the server as well.
